Art Gallery Updated
For Fall and Winter
Picture
Happy members rehanging the Gallery
The AOTL Gallery, that sparkling spot for art in downtown Battle Lake, has been updated for the Fall and Winter seasons.

Fresh art offerings. After a month-long run, the Prairie Lakes Plein Air exhibit in the Gallery has ended. New art has been hung in its place, and the Gallery layout refreshed by Della Conroy, Phyllis Joos and Ann Smith. Thanks, volunteers!

Holiday Market. Gift-givers: put our upcoming Holiday Market on your shopping list, for the area's most unique and thoughtful gifts. And artists: start prepping now to supply your best work appropriate for the holiday season.

Classroom space. The back portion of the Gallery will see increased use as a workshop classroom as we continue to evolve the Creative Arts Center facilities.

New Hours, Fall and Winter
  • The Gallery will be open in October, November and December on Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00-5:00, and on Sundays from 12:00-4:00. Sunday Socials will start soon, to help you connect with others "off season"!
  • Beginning in January, winter hours at the Gallery will be Sundays from 12:00-4:00. Sunday Socials continue.

Please add the Gallery to your Fall and Winter plans!

CAC Reconfiguration

Sandra Thimgan, John Olesen and Sheryl Olson move the kiln down Main Street
September 30 marked our last day of housing the Creative Arts Center (CAC) at 112 W Main.

A moving sale was held last week to divest some of the unneeded larger items, while most of the remaining materials were moved to the Gallery for use and storage.

The kiln, wheels and other ceramics tools have been placed in temporary storage generously provided by Pat Kava. We're continuing to look for a long-term home for the ceramics studio. Contact Kristi Kuder (612) 940-5796 with ideas.

Thank you, volunteers, for helping make this all happenrt!

Meanwhile, the Creative Arts Center lives on, with classes and workshops at the Gallery, Battle Lake Senior Center, Glendalough State Park and other community partner locations.

We're so grateful for the expressions of support for the CAC and its ongoing mission of bringing creative expression to our area residents. Thank you!
