Renew Your Membership
Picture
AOTL memberships are due for renewal each calendar year beginning on January 1. Membership renewal reminders began going out via our automated email in mid-December.

As of January 2, over 50 members (about 40%) have already renewed. This is far ahead of last year. If you've taken care of this important to-do, thank you!

If you haven't yet renewed, please follow the instructions in the reminder emails you received. And, if you're not a member yet, you can join us right here!

Thanks for keeping Art Of The Lakes vital and strong with your membership!

Artist News: John Shaw
Picture
John Shaw is extremely pleased to announce he has been invited to exhibit his stoneware / porcelain work, It's Warm Round These Parts, at Arts North International 27.

In its 27th year, this international juried exhibition showcases the work of thirteen different classes of media by artists from the United States and abroad. $10,000 in awards are available. Prize money will be distributed to more than 50 awards.

The exhibition will be open from January 8 through February 22, 2022 at the Hopkins Center for the Arts, Hopkins MN, 55343. An Artist's reception will be held the evening of January 8 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

New Look for Newsletter
Picture
Your organization's newsletter has a new look and feel!

Besides a revised layout, the biggest change is that the newsletter is now a blog post on the AOTL website. That means you'll no longer need to download a PDF to read it. It also means that all issues (beginning with January 2022) will be available on the website any time in the Blog Archives.

As part of this change, the Board Meeting Minutes have been moved from the newsletter to a dedicated blog post series. In addition, the list of Board Members and AOTL Contacts have been moved to the Contact page of our website.
  • You don't have to remember any of this - links to all this information will appear in each newsletter in the Helpful Links section (see below).

We'll continue to print a few newsletters for those who prefer a hard copy.

Please contact Tom Kuder ([email protected]) if you have questions - or suggestions for news!

Perhaps you might want to add hyperlinks to the "In the Issue" index, so that clicking on a topic will take the reader directly to that place on the blog. It may not be important for a short one like this, but for longer newsletters it will be a great help.

BTW I love the new look and the new ideas for communication. Good job!!

Lynn, thanks for your comments! I plan to add a hyperlinked index in a future issue... our Weebly web platform requires some extra coding to make that happen.

Glad you like the new look!
