Winter CAC HoursThursday: 1-7 pm, or by appointment Making Art Happen Since 1967
Welcome! For over 50 years, Art of the Lakes in the heart of downtown Battle Lake, has been one of the top cultural attractions of the Lakes region, offering high quality art for purchase created by local artists, and arts educational opportunities for all ages and abilities. Established in 1967 by 12 watercolor artists, AOTL celebrates and challenges our understanding of place, uplifts artists from the past, present, and future, and amplifies art’s capacity to shape our work and inspire new possibilities. Our new Creative Arts Center on Main Street is now providing much needed space for a variety of creative endeavors. Options include rooms for classes, meetings, cooking, working, and creating; as well as open areas for dancing, exercising, performing, and socializing—the possibilities are countless. There are spaces for hosting large functions as well as intimate gatherings for purposes to inform, educate and to entertain. We're always looking for new faces interested in helping us bring this dream to life. Throughout the year, we host a number of events and activities that highlight the talents of our member artists and provide a place where everyone—young and old—can experience the power of creativity. |
