Special Board Meeting – May 6, 2024, 9:30 am – Creative Art Center
Our Mission is to develop, promote, and encourage an interest in the arts.

Board Members present: Kristi Kuder, Ann Smith, Judi Celaschi, Sue Kalseim, David Beddow and Shari Prigge.  Staff Members present: Debbie Ness.   Absent:  Shanna Cramer, Makenna Tysdahl, and Donna Westerling.

A Special Board Meeting was scheduled to determine the CAC studio subscription structure, rental fee, hours of operation, and staffing.

Proposed CAC offerings
​The Board reviewed a technical proposal from Tom Kuder to implement subscription and scheduling capability in all systems needed to manage CAC activity.  This would require 19-24 hours of work.  Ann S moved to accept Tom’s proposal for AOTL Studio Subscriptions with an Admin Scheduling proposal for $1,500.  Shari seconded; the motion passed.
 
Gallery hours for May through August will be as follows 
Monday – Wednesday:  10 am -5 pm
Thursday – Saturday:  10 am – 8 pm
Sunday:  10 am – 4 pm
CAC summer hours beginning June 1 will be:
Closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday
Wednesday and Thursday:  9 am – 8 pm
Friday and Saturday:  9 am – 1 pm
Staffing will include Makenna, Donna, and Shanna, plus member volunteers.

CAC subscriptions begin from the date purchased at the following fees:
1 month:  $40 member; $50 non-member
4 months:  $120 member; $150 non-member
12 months:  $240 member; $300 non-member
They will have access to studio spaces and equipment.  Studio space includes Ceramics, Fiber, Stained Glass, Media, and the Auditorium for special events.  Some studios will have an additional fee for supplies and equipment usage (e.g. Ceramic Studio).  Ann made a motion to accept this fee structure for CAC.  Shari seconded the motion; the motion passed.  

Discussion was held on establishing a few structures for rental space in the Creative Art Center.  David made a motion to implement the following fees.  Ann seconded the motion; the motion passed.
Auditorium:  $35/hour
Lower Hall:  $35/hour; $50/hour with use of the kitchen;  kitchen only:  $35/hour
Classrooms:  $35/hour
Meeting rooms:  $25/hour

Committee Update:  Sue reviewed the final preparations for the Designer Purse Bingo fundraiser.  

Next Board Meeting is scheduled for May 15, 2024, at 9:30 am.  Judi motioned to adjourn.
