Dar Eckert, Resurrected
Our inaugural member juried exhibition, Inspirations 22, ended a successful run at M-State on October 27.

Our judges this year were Lori Charest (M-State Ceramics Instructor) and Tania Blanich (Director of Operations at the Arts Partnership in Fargo/Moorhead). Lori and Tania selected 32 pieces for the show, out of 51 pieces submitted.

At the Artist Reception held October 6, five awards were presented:
  • Best 2D ($200): Grace Haverty for Grain Elevator, watercolor & ink
  • Best 3D ($200): Dar Eckert for Resurrected, raku
  • Honorable Mention ($50): Lyssa Lovejoy for Red Sky at Night, acrylic/mixed media
  • Honorable Mention ($50): Susan Seaborn for Morning Light, watercolor
  • Peoples Choice ($50): Judi Celaschi for A View from Chopin’s Window, oil
Congratulations to our award winners and to all who were selected for this exhibit!

We plan to make this a biannual event, so look for Inspirations 24 information in a few months.

Get Ready for the Holiday Market!
Picture
Every year, our Gallery shines with festive holiday decor and special gifts of art. Here's the scoop for this year:
  • Our Holiday Market runs from now through Sunday, December 18. Gallery holiday hours are 11:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Volunteer to help decorate the Gallery by showing up Tuesday, November 15 from 9:00 am to noon.
  • Bring your unique artistic creations to the Gallery anytime from now until November 19 (especially if you want someone to tag it for you.)

Holiday Member Party
December 13
All members are invited to celebrate the holidays with your AOTL friends and colleagues on December 13, starting at 5:30 pm in the Gallery.

Bring your favorite yummy dish to share. Also bring a gift (handmade by you or someone else) if you want to exchange with other members. And of course bring your singing voices, as there'll be caroling led by our wonderful Sandy Thimgan. Arriving with bells on is optional but would be fun!
